We must arrive at
the place where we do not treat our spirituality like a toy.
That sometimes you pick up and play with and sometimes you
don’t. It is essential in every part of your life and so my job
is to find all kinds of ways to entice each of you to include
the spiritual techniques that you know and the wisdom that you
know in all situations. It’s important to use your spirituality
in both your low times and your high times. Notice when you
leave here today and all the trappings have fallen away what is
different with you. Ask yourself not only how is it that I
physically feel but what is it that I’m not doing that I
normally do when I’m not feeling very good or I’m feeling
detached or whatever. You might notice that you feel light and
spacious but you also may notice that your mind’s not home
trying to figure out what you’re going to do next or you may
find that you’re not trying to direct something that you have no
control over. You may find that your energy is taking care of
you and not trying to take care of everything else. Pay
attention to yourself about what’s different. If you can get
good and clear about “when I feel good and I’m centered in my
spirituality, one of the things that happens is my mind is more
quiet and I’m feeding myself energy rather than dissipating it.”
See how if you’re trying to work something out over here, that
energy goes off, and if you’re trying to work something out over
there and that energy goes off…and all of a sudden you’re tired.
You should discover something about yourself and your
spirituality, if not on a daily basis, at least on a weekly
basis. You should be able to tell something that you have
discovered because you’re paying that much attention…it’s that
important to you. If you’re not working this spirituality and
keeping it moving in you then you’re not participating in
life…you’re not fully engaged. The hanging back has to do with
fear. What do you fear? If you have an issue with static or lack
of action there’s a fear factor there and you have to deal with
what that fear is in order to get your action. I’m here, I can
do lots of different things. I recognize that I’m stuck I’ll
call my friend, I recognize that I’m stuck I’m going to go out
and HUH to the moon…anything rather than being stuck. But be
able to recognize that you’re stuck is the most important thing.
You can speak to being high, can you speak to being low? If
you’re not paying attention and you’re not working at it, you’re
not doing all that you can do. When you’re in that low, you
can’t get out and people can’t get in. Your eyes are glazed over
and nobody can get in. When you’re in a high place the eyes
sparkle and the joy emanates out of the body. Find yourself
interesting enough to find out more about yourself. That you are
that valuable and that precious to pay attention to. You are
that God like. ©Beth Johnson silentplace.com 2006 If you are interested in learning more about Meditation, Channeling, and Toning, check out my book "First You Sigh".
